Streamlight Microstream Settings
The flashlight has some great specs for its incredibly small size. It has two settings, high and low. For such a tiny light it has really solid brightness and high candella.
On high, we have 250 lumens with 1,150 candella, and on low, 50 lumens with 250 candella.

The battery is micro usb rechargeable, with a micro usb to standard USB cord included. A USB charging indicator turns from red to green when fully charged. The flashlight doesn’t take long to fully charge, and it’ll run from 1 to over 3 hours depending on your brightness setting.
Streamlight Microstream IPX4 Water Resistance
The flashlight has an o-ring seal and is IPX4 Water resistant, which means it is rated for splashing water. You can use it in the rain essentially, but don’t jump into a swimming pool with it.

The clip is nice and as it allows you to clip it either to the inside of your pocket or belt, or clip it to your hat.

The streamlight push control is great. Pushing down lightly will engage the light with the high brightness setting. Double tapping lightly on the button will engage the low brightness setting. Pushing hard will hold the light on, and it’ll stay in whatever brightness setting you utilized.
The finish on the flashlight is awesome, it still looks brand new despite every day usage so far.
Streamlight Microstream has a Small Footprint and is TSA Friendly
The flashlight is tiny. Its not quite as thin as a pen light, its widest point is less than 2/3 of an inch. At just under 4 inches long, its super convenient. Weighing in at only 1.2 ounces, this flashlight adds virtually no extra weight to carry around. Because its under 7″, you should have no problems bringing it in your carry on on an air plane.

The Streamlight Microstream is Perfect for EDC Usage
Overall this flashlight is ideal for every day carry. It’s perfect for life in florida where we wear board shorts year round. No-one will bat an eye if you pull this flashlight out in public. Unless you carry a flashlight around as a professional, you probably don’t want some monster flashlight in your day to day.
It is not a self defense flashlight. I personally advocate for having a weapon mounted light and a small flashlight like this one, as the flashlight has such a tiny footprint. It is never, ever a good idea to use a weapon mounted light for any kind of general searching as it violates all of the universal firearms safety principles.
Some of you may be able to get away with your phone flashlight, but then you’re really not living life to its fullest, just saying.
