Introduction
The Holosun EPS MRS is a closed emitter red dot targeted for concealed carry. It is my go to carry optic on my glock 26, and has been for the past year.
The Holosun EPS MRS is Holosun 407K/507K Footprint
The EPS MRS is cut in the Holosun K footprint, which is very close dimensionally to Shield RMSc, the EPS should mount up to either footprint.

The Holosun EPS MRS is rugged, has an enclosed emitter, and has incredibly clear glass. The dot is really easy to pick up with the large window. This optic has taken a beating and it just keeps going, despite the wear and tear of carrying this every single day. I’ve had this optic for well over a year now and it has held up extremely well.
The EPS MRS has a Closed Emitter Design
The EPS is closed emitter, meaning that debris won’t be able to get between the emitter and the lens. This is nice for conealed carry contexts where lint and other debris from being close to your body and underneath clothes could get in the way. It also makes cleaning the optic very easy as you can just wipe off the front and rear lens.
The EPS MRS has the clearest glass I’ve seen on any Red Dot
The glass clarity on the optic is extremely clear. It is by far the clearest of any optic that I own. The field of view is also a bit larger than their other K cut models like the 407K seen here. The dot is very easy to pick up due to the large window size.

The EPS MRS has a multi reticle system
The EPS MRS has a multi reticle system, meaning that it has both a dot, circle dot, and circle reticle option. It also features the solar panel array to keep the red dot functional even with low battery. Despite the super bright emitter I have yet to need to change the battery. Speaking of changing the battery, the EPS model has the standard side loading battery tray that holosun is famous for.
The EPS MRS has extremely rugged durability
The optic is also very rugged and durable. At the time of filming I have a few thousand rounds through the glock 26 with this optic. I’ve used it on several range trips as my EDC optic of choice, as well as for two 8 hour pistol shooting courses with the Warrior Poet Society that I discussed in previous videos, as well as local practice USPSA competition shooting matches. It still holds zero just fine.
The EPS MRS has excellent controlls and turrets
The controls on the optic are also excellent. The turrets have click adjustments and are very tactile. The push buttons are excellent quality as well.
Final thoughts on the Holosun EPS MRS
Overall I have no complaints about this optic. It is really high quality and it is a very good purchase. I’ll have links to several affiliate partner vendors in our blog that sell this optic so you can shop around and find the best price. THe optic normally retails for around $400, but I was able to get mine on sale for under $300 during a flash sale, so definitely shop around.

Overall I highly recommend the Holosun EPS MRS if your slide has a Holosun K or Shield RMSc footprint. At this price point, if you have an RMR cut, the Trijicon RMR is still king. Still, the MRS is a great option for every day carry.
